Update on move of Special Collections – 14th February 2011

Here are the key points from last week’s decant activity (week commencing 7^th February 2011):

• Rare books throughput (re-shelved at new Store) was just over 5,000 volumes last week.
• The decant of Photographic Collections from Level 1 is largely complete now, save for some reshelving.
• A further 622 plan boxes (manuscripts) have been decanted to the new Store.

Focus this week:

• Completion of Donaldson collection decant
• Completion of Photographic collections decant, including re-shelving at the new Store
• Preparation of muniments and manuscripts for decant.
